Fonnify is a UK B2B music streaming platform built for independent venues, cafes, bars, and retailers who want to do things properly.

78% of UK businesses are illegally playing personal streaming services like Spotify on their premises. The fine for getting caught costs more than years of compliance. Fonnify fixes that with PRS/PPL-licensed background music sourced entirely from independent Scottish artists, curated by people who actually know the scene.

We're not another generic catalogue. Every playlist is built around regional music identity. Every play generates a real royalty for a real artist. Every venue gets full guidance on obtaining TheMusicLicence as part of their onboarding.

Founded in Edinburgh by Joshua Grant (recording artist, MSc Applied AI) and James Dempster (BSc Digital Interaction & Design, Brand/Growth strategist), Fonnify launches in Edinburgh before expanding across the UK.

We're currently building the platform and onboarding our first artists.
