Daniel Wright

Daniel Wright has extensive experience in customs and trade management, currently serving as Customs and R&D Manager at Fonterra since November 2017, overseeing the Global Customs portfolio and the Research & Development Tax Incentive program. Previously, Daniel held various positions at the New Zealand Customs Service from March 2005 to November 2017, including Supervising Customs Officer, where leadership was provided to a team focused on New Zealand exports, and project coordination for the Joint Electronic Verification System enhancing trade between New Zealand and China. Daniel's early roles included Assistant Chief Customs Officer and Customs Officer in border operations and as a Detector Dog Handler. Daniel holds an educational background from Massey University.
