Food Processing Specialists (FPS) is an internationally recognized food consulting business founded by Andrew Scholz in 2009.  In the last several year's FPS invested to transform its service model to support Australian Food SMEs translate new commercial ideas into retail-ready products:

- In 2019, it built its own food product innovation and development laboratory – to produce retail-ready prototype products.

- Created its own innovative IP to extend the shelf-life of chilled products (beyond standard 1-2 months) to 6-12 months – giving its SME customers a retail market competitive edge.

- Established and attained an SQF and HACCP-certified facility to contract-manufacture new food products at pilot/small-scale for SMEs to market test and launch them.  

- Worked closely with Primary Producers to develop a retail-ready range (soups, dips, RTE meals) of food products from their own meat, seafood, plant protein, and vegetables and give them the opportunity to diversify their business through value-adding.

Since 2019, FPS has worked with 23 Australian food SMEs – to bring their food innovations to market. These SMEs include Mojo Kombucha, Obela Global, Goolwa PiPiCo, KIN Tuna, and Eyre Peninsula Seafoods with food product sales through major retailers (Woolworths, Coles, Costco).

Food Processing Specialists has assisted many companies over the years including Kelloggs, Simplot, SAFCOL, Organic Bubs, Real Pet Foods and in New Zealand Pitango and MCCallum Industries to name a few.

Food Processing Specialists has two approved persons who specialise in Thermal Process Validation, retort processes, continuous pasteurizers, and process control.

Food Processing Specialists are experts in Factory and Commercial Kitchen layouts, food processing equipment, and production processes.
