Food Rescue Hero is a mission-driven technology platform purpose-built for food rescue. We exist to make sure good food reaches the people who need it most and that none of it goes to waste.

Since launching in 2016, we've built the infrastructure that makes food rescue scalable. Our platform automates the coordination between food donors, nonprofit partners, and volunteer drivers, turning what was once a logistical challenge into a reliable, transparent, and repeatable operation. The result: more food rescued, more communities served, and more impact at every level of the network.

Today, our growing network spans 25 partner organizations and 60,000+ volunteers who have collectively rescued over 200 million pounds of food. Every rescue tracked. Every pound counted. Every community served.

For food rescue organizations, Food Rescue Hero provides the operational backbone to do more with less: streamlining volunteer management, donor coordination, and real-time impact reporting so teams can focus on their mission, not their logistics.

For corporate food donors, we offer a transparent, accountable channel to ensure surplus food reaches verified nonprofit partners quickly and reliably.

For funders and grantmakers, we provide the data infrastructure to measure, report, and scale impact, locally and internationally.

Food insecurity, food waste, and climate change are interconnected problems. Food rescue is one of the most immediate, measurable solutions. We're building the technology to make it possible at scale.
