Deb James currently serves as the PR Manager for the UK charity FoodCycle, focusing on addressing food poverty, loneliness, and food waste through community dining initiatives. With extensive experience in communications and journalism, Deb has previously held roles such as Communications Lead and Operations Support Lead Officer at Together Liverpool, and Communications Lead for the Diocese of Liverpool's Net Zero Carbon 2030 Programme. Deb's background includes significant positions at the Daily Post Wales as Head of Content and News Editor, as well as a strong foundation in journalism from earlier roles at the Liverpool Daily Post and Stockport Express. Deb is academically equipped with degrees in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester and a NCTJ qualification in Newspaper Journalism.

FoodCycle is an award winning national charity delivering volunteer powered community Projects across England. We build communities by combining surplus food, volunteers and spare kitchen space to create nutritious, three-course meals for the community. We currently have 38 Projects and open our doors every week to 1200 people.
