Alan Ohnsman

Alan Ohnsman is a seasoned journalist and editor with extensive experience in transportation and clean technology. Currently serving as a Senior Editor at Forbes since July 2016, Alan also co-writes the Current Climate newsletter. In addition to this role, Alan acts as a judge for The Gerald Loeb Awards at UCLA Anderson School of Management and advises the Alumni Editorial Board at Ohio Wesleyan University. Alan's musical endeavors include being a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter in the Franco-American rock duo Combo Villains. Prior to these positions, Alan held significant roles at TrueCar, Inc. as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, and at Bloomberg LP as Senior Reporter and Editor, where coverage included automotive topics and Tesla Motors. Alan's early career includes editorial roles at Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers, as well as contributions to Businessweek and Asahi Evening News. Alan holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Ohio Wesleyan University.
