James Simms

James Simms is an experienced journalist and educator with a diverse background in the media industry. Currently serving as a Contributor at Forbes since January 2015, Simms has also held significant positions including Visiting Lecturer in Journalism at Hosei University in 2017 and President of The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan in 2015. Prior roles include Scripps Journalism Fellow at the University of Colorado Boulder, Columnist for The Wall Street Journal's Heard on the Street, and Economic and Political Correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires. Simms began a career in journalism as a Copy Editor for Asahi Evening News. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from American University and a Scripps Journalism Fellowship from the University of Colorado Boulder.
