Jan Michelsen

Jan Michelsen is a senior leader with extensive experience in the maritime and shipping industry, currently serving as the Director of Hydro- & Aerodynamics, Simulation, Ports & Training at FORCE Technology. They lead a team of over 70 staff in various functions, including sales, marketing, and operations. Previously, Jan held roles including Client & Business Development Director at Risk Intelligence, where they established a new sales organization, and spent over a decade at Thrane & Thrane, steering their global maritime business. Jan also served as a Commanding Officer in the Danish Naval Home Guard and as a Commissioned Naval Officer with the Royal Danish Navy, demonstrating a deep knowledge of maritime technology and safety protocols. They are actively involved in academia as an MBA module coach at Copenhagen Business School and continue to support maritime initiatives.
