Sam O'Neill

Sam O'Neill is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in cybersecurity and software development. Currently at Forcepoint since October 2018, Sam specializes in developing a cybersecurity platform, focusing on components such as firewall agents and proxies, alongside expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, SQS, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, and EKS. Prior to this role, Sam was an Info Security Specialist and Information Systems Engineer at McAfee from July 2014 to September 2018. Earlier experience includes a position as a software engineer at Aspiracon Ltd. from August 2010 to July 2014, where contributions were made to bespoke software development and revenue aggregation services, and an internship as a software developer at Trustwater in 2009, which involved microchip development for a control system. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University College Cork, earned between 2006 and 2010.
