Eric S. Mayes

Eric S. Mayes has extensive work experience in IT security, infrastructure architecture, and engineering. Eric S. currently serves as the Senior Director of IT Security & Controls at FordDirect, where they lead the Enterprise IT Security and Governance programs. In their previous role as the IT Director of Infrastructure Architecture and Solution Engineering at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Eric led multiple teams responsible for various domains, including infrastructure architecture, identity and access management, and cloud infrastructure. Prior to this, Eric held various managerial positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they specialized in cybersecurity, network engineering, and technical solution ownership. Eric S. also served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force. Eric's expertise spans a range of areas, including governance, risk and compliance, threat management, security architecture, and infrastructure forecasting.

Eric S. Mayes completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Information Assurance from Walsh College from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Eric completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Contracts Management from the Community College of the US Air Force between 1992 and 1999. Eric S. has also obtained multiple certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in December 2016 and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in September 2011. Eric S. has additional certifications in cloud architecture, digital transformation, and cloud computing.
