Matthew Barrett

Matthew Barrett has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at FordDirect since August 2014, following roles as Senior Counsel and Counsel. Previous positions include Counsel for Corporate Affairs at Chrysler Group LLC from 2013 to 2014, and Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2010 to 2013, where Barrett also held the role of Summer Associate in 2008. Early career experience includes serving as a Law Clerk at Norton Rose Fulbright from 2007 to 2008 and completing a legislative internship for United States Senator Pete Domenici in 2006. Matthew Barrett holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, with additional studies at University College Dublin.
