Mike Walsh has extensive work experience in various roles related to sales and business development. Mike started their career in 1991 as a Sales Representative at Goal Systems and later worked at Software AG as a Sales Representative. In 1993, they became a Sales Manager at Blyth Software and was responsible for closing major deals with notable companies.
From 1995 to 2000, Mike worked in federal sales for Powersoft, Tivoli, and SeeBeyond, where they handled accounts in the Navy, Army, and DOD agencies. At Symantec, they served as a Federal Sales representative from 2002 to 2006.
In 2006, Mike joined NetApp as a District Manager and gradually rose to the position of Senior Director responsible for DoD CONUS and OCONUS districts. Mike achieved significant revenue growth and managed a team of district managers and sales representatives.
In 2013, Mike moved to Dell EMC as a Director and successfully led a team that addressed application, security, and infrastructure challenges with the US DoD.
Currently, Mike is working as the President of Forescout Government Systems at Forescout Technologies Inc. Mike oversees a team of engineers, managers, and sales representatives supporting complex IT, OT, and IoT systems. Their team integrates with various software solutions and programs to ensure comprehensive visibility and control over IP enabled endpoints.
Throughout their career, Mike Walsh has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of achieving revenue growth and customer success in the federal sector.
Mike Walsh received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing their education from 1974 to 1978. In 1983, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Systems at American University. Mike also attended The George Washington University School of Business as an MBA candidate in 1981 and 1982. Prior to university, from 1970 to 1974, they attended Boston College High School.
