Brian Gerson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in microelectronics, photonics, and advanced technologies. Currently serving as a Fellow at CMC Microsystems since April 2022, Gerson provides strategic planning support for Canada's National Design Network®. As an Entrepreneur in Residence at Foresight Canada since May 2021, Gerson coaches emerging Green Tech leaders on intellectual property strategies and project development. Gerson has offered consulting services independently since March 2017, specializing in semiconductors and IoT. Previously, Gerson held significant roles, including Vice President at Cadence, leading a global team in developing advanced IP solutions, and held a similar prestigious position at PMC-Sierra for nearly three decades. Early career experience includes IC design at Bell Northern Research and acoustic design at Nortel Networks. Gerson earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
