David Lathrop

David Lathrop has been working in the security and compliance field since 2021, when they began as a Security Analyst II at Foresite Cybersecurity & Compliance. Prior to that, they worked from 2013 to 2021 at the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office as a Master Patrol Deputy. During their time there, they were selected to be a member of the Tactical Assistance Group due to their exceptional performance and was responsible for training new personnel on all related practices. David also maintained clear and reliable communication to conduct interviews with suspects and uphold workflow under heavy workload. Additionally, they acted as the go-to technical expert for various software platforms and technologies, assisting in creating a new employee handbook.

David Lathrop completed a CyberSecurity Bootcamp at The University of Kansas in 2020, and has a background in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Upper Iowa University. David also obtained a CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in March 2021.
