James Clements

Senior Deputy Head (prep) at Forest School

James Clements has a diverse work experience in the field of music and education. James is currently serving as the Senior Deputy Head at Forest School, where they are responsible for various roles including Head of Music and Head of Curriculum. In their role as Head of Music, James has developed strong outreach partnerships and organized annual choral concerts. Prior to joining Forest School, they worked at Holland Park School and Bishop Justus Church of England School as a Teacher of Music. James has also worked as a Freelance Composer and Music Director for SiNG - the Travelling Evensong Choir, where they formed and led a voluntary choir for performances in churches across the country. James has also held positions as an Associate Artist at Warts and All Theatre and as a Music Director at Royal and Derngate. Additionally, James has experience as a Fellow at The RSA and as a Director of Music at Holy Trinity Church.

James Clements completed their Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree in Composition at Guildhall School of Music & Drama from 2008 to 2012. James then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Worcester from 2013 to 2014. Currently, they are enrolled at the University of Buckingham to pursue a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Management, which they are expected to complete from 2021 to 2023.
