Blake Smith is an experienced GIS professional with a diverse background in environmental conservation and public health. Blake served as a GIS Technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where manipulation of imagery contributed to wetland habitat identification for waterfowl conservation. As a Wildfire GIS Specialist with the U.S. Forest Service, Blake led GIS efforts for a Southwest Incident Management Team and managed geospatial tasks for the Hurricane Recovery Team in Croatan National Forest. Previous roles include coordinating HIV clinic services and supporting Rape Victim Advocacy Program data management. Blake holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa and is pursuing a Master of Geospatial Information Science and Technology at NC State.
