Carrie Smith currently serves as the Director of the National Forest Service Library at the USDA Forest Service, a position held since August 2023, where leadership is provided to ensure library services align with the agency's mission. Prior to this role, Carrie was the Director of the Boulder Labs Library for NOAA from April 2022 to August 2023, and before that, served as the Supervisory Library Manager at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute from August 2017 to April 2022. Additional experience includes roles as a Collections Librarian for the Smithsonian Institution, a Rare Book Cataloger at the Folger Shakespeare Library, and a Government Documents Librarian contractor for NOAA.
