Christopher Armatas

Christopher Armatas is a Research Social Scientist at the U.S. Forest Service, where they focus on the intersection of social science and natural resource management. They previously worked at the University of Montana as a Research Associate, co-leading a National Science Foundation proposal and developing manuscripts on water sustainability and climate change. Christopher also served as a Teachers Assistant, guiding students in field techniques and wildland recreation, and completed a Master of Science and a PhD in Resource Conservation and Forestry and Conservation Sciences, respectively. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Whitewater Raft Guide at Yellowstone Raft Company.
