Christopher O'Connor

Christopher (Kit) O'Connor serves as a Research Ecologist with the USDA Forest Service since October 2015, leading efforts in wildfire data analytics, fire responder exposure studies, and pre-fire planning initiatives. O'Connor's research emphasizes applied science in fire management, focusing on risk reduction through fire adaptation and enhancing operational safety. Previous experience includes roles as an Ecologist at the Rocky Mountain Research Station, a Course Instructor at the University of Arizona, and various research and educational positions within the academic realm. O'Connor's career also features service as Vice President of the Tucson Desert Doves RPCV Organization and contributions as a volunteer with the Peace Corps. Educationally, O'Connor holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources (Forest Ecology) from the University of Arizona, a Master's in Biology (Forest Entomology) from UQAM, and a Bachelor's in Agricultural Science (Entomology) from Penn State University.
