Matthew Reece

Matthew Reece is an experienced geologist with a career spanning over two decades in various roles related to geology and environmental management. Currently employed at the USDA Forest Service since June 2014, Matthew has progressed through positions such as Geologist, Regional Geologist, and Minerals Program Manager. Prior to this, Matthew worked at the Bureau of Land Management from November 2011 to June 2014, where responsibilities included managing mining plans and providing expert guidance on mineral management. Earlier roles include serving as an Air Monitoring Specialist at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and a Physical Scientist at the National Park Service, where Matthew focused on geologic and hydrological issues. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Geology from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from Indiana University Bloomington.
