Michael Kaplan

Michael Kaplan is an Emergency Medical Technician at University of Utah Health, responsible for providing medical care and transportation to patients, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Kaplan also serves as a Type 1 Forestry Technician with the U.S. Forest Service, specializing in wildland fire operations and emergency care as one of the crew's EMTs. Previous experience includes a role as a Type 2 IA Wildland Fire & Resource Technician with the State of Alaska, alongside engineering positions at Callaway Golf, focusing on product development and fabrication methods, and roles at the University of Rochester in CAD instruction and residential advising. Michael Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and is currently pursuing further education in Emergency Medical Technology at Palomar College.
