Michael Spisak

Michael Spisak is a results-oriented leader currently serving as the Director of Natural Resources at the USDA Forest Service, where they also act as the Director for all California forests. With extensive experience in land management and stakeholder engagement, they lead a team of 50 natural resource experts, enhancing policy and strategic planning across millions of acres of national forests. Michael has held several significant roles, including National Assistant Director for Forest Products, where they directed a national team and coordinated assessments of legislation impacting communities. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Forest Management from Penn State University and an Associate degree in Biology from the Community College of Allegheny County.
