Mona Koerner

Mona (Janopaul) Koerner has a diverse background in law and environmental science, with experience spanning several decades. They served as an Aerographer's Mate in the US Navy from 1969 to 1972 and later held various roles in environmental and legal fields, including positions as Inhouse Counsel at Consumers Energy and Conservation Counsel at Trout Unlimited. Their extensive tenure at the US Forest Service from 1999 to 2018 included roles such as Program Manager for Hydropower Licensing and Administration, and for Litigation & Legislation concerning National Forest System Lands. Mona holds a JD from the University of Colorado School of Law and advanced degrees in Oceanography from Texas A&M University and the University of Washington.
