Patrick Lair

Patrick Lair is a seasoned public affairs professional with extensive experience in the U.S. Forest Service since August 2009, serving in multiple roles, including Public Affairs Officer for the Idaho Panhandle National Forests and Ochoco National Forest. Lair has provided public and legislative affairs support, developed communications plans, conducted media interviews, and engaged with local officials and tribal relations. Previous positions include Acting Legislative Affairs Specialist for the Pacific Northwest Region and various public affairs roles in military contexts, including the Army National Guard and U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lair also has experience in legislative copy editing with the Oregon Legislature and in journalism as a reporter/photographer. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Montana and a Master's degree in Political Science/American Government from American Military University.
