Daniel C. Bartok

CEO at Forestar Group

Daniel C. Bartok is the CEO of Forestar Group. Daniel has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, and has held senior positions at several companies.

Bartok began their career in finance, holding the position of Treasurer Controller at ND Resources, Inc. from 1980 to 1982. Daniel then moved to Roadrunner Homes Corporation, where they served as Vice President of Finance from 1982 to 1983. In December 1983, they joined KPMG as a Senior Manager, where they worked until March 1986.

In April 1986, Bartok co-founded Corporetum Development Company, a real estate development firm that also provided consulting and management services for distressed real estate portfolios of financial institutions. Daniel served as Vice President of Finance at Corporetum from 1986 to 1988.

In September 1989, Bartok founded Clarion Realty, Inc., another real estate development company that specialized in homebuilding and land development. Daniel served as President of Clarion Realty from 1989 to 2008. During their tenure at Clarion Realty, the company became one of the largest homebuilders in Texas.

In 2008, Bartok joined Forestar Group Inc., where they served as President until 2013. Daniel was then appointed CEO of Forestar Group, a position they still hold today.

Daniel C. Bartok graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BS in accountancy.
