Andrew Stringer

Andrew Stringer is a strategic leader and restoration ecologist with extensive experience in the public, charitable, and international sectors. They have collaborated with local indigenous communities to discover a previously undocumented population of West African chimpanzees in Sierra Leone and completed a PhD focused on black rhinos through their work with WWF's Black Rhino Range Expansion Project. As the Head of Environment and Nature Recovery at Forestry England, they lead efforts in biodiversity restoration and represent the organization in national forums. Notable achievements include co-authoring a significant report on beavers in Scotland and leading the first pine marten reintroduction in England.
