Guy Peer

Guy Peer has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. Guy began their career as a Lecturer at Funzing, where they taught courses on various topics such as Capital Markets Foundations and Climate Change and Renewable Energy. Guy then transitioned into the tech industry, working as a Full Stack Developer at A.Team, where they focused on improving the Builder experience platform using React, Mobx, Node, MongoDB, and TypeORM.

Guy then worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at Toptal, where they collaborated with top tech companies on various projects in fields such as observability, e-commerce, IoT, blog platforms, marketing sites, marketplaces, app platforms, and SaaS. Guy provided solutions and assistance with technology, product, and business challenges for companies like Grammarly, Crusoe Energy, Groundcover, Plotly, B-Lab, Proofloyalty, Airbolt, and Avonow.

Following their freelance work, Guy joined Insighting as a Full Stack Developer, where they enhanced project structure, implemented state management and backend structure using Node and AWS DynamoDB, and created UIs for sorting, filtering, and generating PDF reports for marketing performance. Guy also automated email-related tasks and workflows.

Guy then worked at Great American Mining as a Senior Project Developer, where they built a complex dashboard app to showcase bitcoin mining information and graph server data. Guy utilized PostgreSQL, AWS RDS with the Prisma ORM-like framework, Redis, and AWS Lambda for improved performance and auto-deployments.

Guy then joined Connecteam as a Product Development Engineer and contributed to the development of a complex shift management platform. Guy worked on Python backend with Celery for async job scheduling, migrated from Angular to React, and created an email, web push, and mobile notifications system. Guy also developed a task management platform.

Afterwards, Guy worked at Grammarly as a Browser Extension Developer, where they updated the Chrome extension to v3 standards. Guy utilized React, Redux, GraphQL, and native DOM APIs to build complex app features.

Prior to their current role, Guy worked at DagsHub as a Design System & Backend Developer. Guy created a React UI implementation of the design system, developed a Storybook project to showcase system components, and migrated a Golang codebase to a Nextjs-13 backend.

Currently, Guy is employed at Foretellix as an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer.

Guy Peer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University. Guy also attended ORT Colleges and studied Engineering Science, completing their education there in 2009.
