Alexei Ivanov

Alexei Ivanov is a Machine Learning Engineer II at Forethought since August 2023, where previous roles included Machine Learning Engineer I. At Forethought, Alexei led a cross-lingual information retrieval project and significantly reduced re-ranking latency while achieving cost savings. Early contributions as a Machine Learning Intern involved enhancing a hybrid retrieval system and improving search metrics through advanced ranking techniques. Prior experience includes a Software Engineering Internship at Forethought, where Alexei developed tracking systems and local development enhancements, and a Full Stack Software Developer role at Lifco Hydraulics, where product search functionality was implemented. Alexei holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and is pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Computing at the University of Toronto.
