We are a membership organization, borrowing money from the SBA, USDA, charities, foundations, and individual investors to lend to start-up businesses, families in need, small farmers, and individuals denied credit by the conventional banking system. FORGE is an SBA Intermediary Micro-lender and a Certified Development Financial Institution (CDFI). 

The Ozark Mountain region has traditionally been mostly rural and relatively poor. While the last decade has seen significant growth in the area’s larger cities, many smaller rural communities continue to struggle, industry continues to leave the area and the current recession has tightened lending when it is needed most. 

For 30 years we have fulfilled our mission of helping to build sustainable communities and we will not let our neighbors down in their time of greatest need. We are expanding our lending and our assets are growing. Bottom line, we have maintained our strength because we make good loans to good people.
