Every student deserves a shot at leading and serving, regardless of where they come from. Forge Your Future (FYF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free, personalized mentorship and application support to high school students from underserved backgrounds who aspire to attend a U.S. Service Academy or earn an ROTC scholarship.

FYF was founded in 2024 by Hersh Rai and Mateo Ronquillo, both service academy graduates from immigrant families with no prior military backgrounds. This initiative was born from firsthand experience with the barriers that talented students face when navigating complex military admissions processes without guidance or connections.

Our programs include one-on-one mentorship with service academy and ROTC alumni, application support for all five U.S. Service Academies (West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, and Merchant Marine Academy) and all four ROTC branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps), plus a free Resource Hub with downloadable guides for fitness prep, letters of recommendation, essays, and application tracking.

Our first cohort of students is heading to service academies and ROTC programs this fall 2026... and we're just getting started! Our board and advisors include graduates from West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy, as well as leaders from Meta, Disney, Harvard, Stanford, and Yale.

Join us. Whether you're a veteran who wants to mentor, a professional who wants to donate, or an organization that wants to partner: we'd love to hear from you.
