Michael Melzer

Michael Melzer has a diverse work experience in various industries. Michael started their career as a Staff Attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in 2005 before becoming an Associate at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker in 2007, where they drafted corporate documents and advised clients on investment transactions. Michael then returned to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP as a Senior Staff Attorney in 2008, managing mass document collection and review for regulatory investigations.

In 2017, Michael joined Juice Press as a Chief of Staff, collaborating with senior executives on strategic initiatives, new store openings, and business development. Michael also managed the opening of new stores across multiple states. Michael later became the Director of Operational Services at Juice Press, where they created and organized the operational infrastructure for the COO and VP of Operations.

In 2019, Michael joined Standard Dose as the VP of Product and Business Development, leading the development of private label brands and strengthening wholesale relationships for the company's products. Michael then founded MM Strategic Advisory Services LLC in 2019, providing strategic advice to businesses in various industries.

Currently, Michael serves as the General Counsel and VP of Business Development at Foria, where they are responsible for all legal matters and compliance. Michael works closely with senior management and department heads on regulatory and legal issues, reviews and negotiates agreements, and ensures compliance with FDA/FTC regulations. As an Independent Contractor in 2020, they provided services to various clients in the food and beverage, CBD/CPG/DTC, fitness, health and wellness, and retail industries.

Michael Melzer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 2000. Michael later pursued their J.D. degree in Law at the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law from 2001 to 2004.
