Jay Patel has a diverse background in engineering and economics, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Kansas and a brief educational experience at The London School of Economics and Political Science, where economics was studied. Jay began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the KU Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis from August 2017 to May 2019, progressed to an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow at The University of Kansas in August 2019, and gained experience at Catalent Pharma Solutions as a Manufacturing Product Lead and Pharmaceutics Intern from July 2020 to December 2021. From December 2021 to May 2024, Jay worked as a Solid State Battery Process Engineer at Ion Storage Systems and briefly served as a Senior Process Engineer at Form Energy in March 2025.
