Peter Bücker

Peter Bücker has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Peter is currently working at Form3 as the Head of Engineering: Platform Compute since April 2023. Prior to this position, they held roles as a Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Form3, Peter worked at pressrelations GmbH as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2014 to February 2021. During their time there, they played a crucial role in splitting a monolithic legacy ColdFusion application into manageable parts and introduced new technologies such as Elixir/OTP and GraphQL.

Peter also worked as a Senior System Network Administrator at the University of Düsseldorf from January 2013 to March 2014. In this role, they managed the university's largest faculty's data center and coached new employees in Linux System Operations and Configuration Management.

Prior to that, Peter worked at METRO/MAKRO Cash and Carry as a Software Engineer from July 2011 to January 2013. Peter was involved in the implementation of a new Point of Sale system for the Vietnamese market and developed a Workflow Management System using J2EE, JSF, and BPM.

Peter's career also includes roles at the University of Düsseldorf where they served as a System Network Administrator from October 2004 to June 2011, and as a Research Assistant & Lecturer from August 2005 to December 2010. During their tenure, they migrated workloads, developed web tools, and contributed to research symposia in the field of Linguistics.

Additionally, Peter worked as a Freelance Software Engineer from an unspecified date until 2010. In this role, they migrated a live shopping platform, extended CRM platforms, and implemented TYPO3/WordPress websites.

Peter Bücker attended the University of Düsseldorf from 2003 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Science & Language Technology.
