Asuka Goya has worked for two companies: FormAssembly and Pacific Lutheran University. At FormAssembly, they have held four roles since 2017, including Product Manager, Product Liaison, Customer Success Manager, and Support Engineer. In their role as Support Engineer, they provided technical assistance and resolution for escalated customer issues via tickets and live chat, worked with product, systems, and account management teams to identify and research issues, and served as a knowledge expert for clients while creating and maintaining documentation. At Pacific Lutheran University, they have held two roles since 2009, including Web Developer and User Support Technician. As Web Developer, they were responsible for development for the university's outward facing websites and deployed a "widget" layout for modular pages, as well as migrated university sites to WordPress in 2014. As User Support Technician, they performed software and hardware support for faculty and staff on campus, and was involved with hardware installation and repair for systems campus wide and maintained software on university owned machines. Asuka also specialized in malware/virus removal and prevention for client systems and held talks to inform faculty and staff of safe practices and prevention.

Asuka Goya obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Pacific Lutheran University between 2008 and 2012. In December 2021, they also earned a FormAssembly Certification from FormAssembly.
