Fellow Manager at Formation

Casey Sheridan-Smith is a Fellow Manager at Formation. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Lead and Academic Advisor at the University at Albany, SUNY for four years. In this role, Casey was responsible for advising ~200 undergraduate students, as well as being a liaison to the International Student Services, ITS office, and East Asian Studies academic department. Casey also served as the site editor for the Academic Support Center and A+ Tutoring and Academic Support websites, and was the application administrator and content administrator for the student success management system (EAB Navigate). Additionally, they were a trainer for the EAB Navigate student application for the academic advising community. Prior to their time at University at Albany, Casey Sheridan-Smith worked as a Sr. Student Services Administrator at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for two years. In this role, they reviewed students for admission to the combined bachelor’s/master’s (Co-Terminal) program and grew the number of Co-Terminal applicants by 50% in their first year in the position. Casey also conducted thesis and dissertation review for graduate students, and presented information sessions on the Co-Terminal program to a variety of campus constituents, as well as prospective students and families.
