Shawn Lockhart

Shawn Lockhart has a diverse work experience in various industries. Shawn started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Legal Services Specialist, Court Reporter, and achieved the rank of Corporal during their tenure from August 2016 to August 2020.

After leaving the military, Shawn joined Coding Dojo as a Teaching Assistant in January 2021. In this role, they assisted over 300 students in learning full-stack development, provided instruction, evaluated student progress, and graded assignments and tests. Shawn remained in this position until January 2022.

In 2022, Shawn joined Formation as a Software Engineering Fellow. This highly-competitive fellowship provided him with personalized coaching from top-tier software engineers. During this fellowship, they conducted extensive research and analysis into system design fundamentals in small groups led by senior engineers from top companies.

Shawn also worked at RevLogical as a Full Stack Engineer, starting in January 2022. Initially hired to port legacy Django applications to NextJS, they later built a new NextJS application and multiple tools from scratch. Shawn independently built the front-end for the Master Control Process using TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind, and Zustand and contributed to the back-end connected to Firestore database.
