John Muir

John Muir has over 40 years of work experience in various roles and industries. John is currently serving as the Director of Product Applications at FormFactor Inc. since March 2020. Prior to this, they had their own company, Axcel Innovate Ltd., since 2001. From 2003 to 2008, John worked as a Senior Apps Engineer at FormFactor. John also served as the European Applications Manager at Formfactor from 1999 to 2002. Before that, they were the Wafer Sort/Metrology Manager at Siemens Microelectronics Ltd. from 1996 to 1998. John also worked as the Test Engineering Group Leader at Fujitsu Microelectronics Ltd. from 1992 to 1996. Their earlier experience includes working as an Equipment Engineer at Amkor Anam from 1985 to 1992 and as an Equipment Technician at National Semiconductor (UK) Ltd. from 1979 to 1985.

John Muir attended James Watt College, Greenock from 1979 to 1984, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. John later pursued a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing: Methods and Technology from The Open University, from 1993 to 1997.
