Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tyler is currently the Director of Financial Operations and Compliance at Formic since February 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Wells Fargo from January 2020 to February 2022 as the SVP - Reporting, Analytics, and Inventory Leader - Commercial Banking BPM. From 2015 to 2020, they were at EY, where they held multiple roles including Senior Manager, Financial Services Advisory and Manager, Specialty Finance Advisory - Financial Services Office. At EY, they provided consulting services to clients in strategy, operations, and compliance, primarily in consumer and automotive finance. Tyler also led engagement teams, developed thought leadership, and mentored junior staff. Before EY, they were the Director of Portfolio Management and Compliance at Credito Real USA Finance from December 2011 to April 2015. Tyler joined as run its collection and customer service departments and later took on the role of compliance officer. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Prestige Financial Services as the Assistant Vice President and Collection Department Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and achieving excellent delinquency and loss results. Prior to that, they worked at Discover Financial Services as a Senior Account Manager from November 2004 to October 2006, handling sales, customer service, and collections. Tyler began their career at 24 Hour Fitness as an Assistant General Manager from November 2003 to October 2004, where they played a crucial role in opening a new location and managing operations. Tyler started their career at Smith's Food & Drug as a Front End Department Manager, leading front end operations and managing a large team of employees.

Tyler Smith pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from Westminster University. Tyler attended the university from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic education, Tyler obtained a Consumer Credit Compliance Certification from the National Automotive Finance Association in November 2014.
