David Birkas

David Birkas is an experienced software engineering professional with a focus on UI development across embedded and desktop software. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Formlabs since February 2016, David has also held roles as Technical Lead and Software Developer within the company. Prior to Formlabs, David worked as a Research Assistant at Concordia University, specializing in 3D reconstruction and object detection. Experience in C++ and frontend development was gained at real5D, where David adapted software for MacOSX, and as a Junior C++ Developer at Kitchen Budapest, where concept development took place. David also contributed to the entertainment sector as an Android Developer for PÁNiQ-SZOBA. David holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Concordia University and Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
