Ian Ferguson

Ian Ferguson is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware development and robotics. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware at Formlabs since December 2011, Ian leads engineering efforts to produce high-performance 3D printers. Prior experience includes roles as a Robotics Engineer at Bossa Nova Robotics, where Ian designed robotic toys, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicles. Ian's background also comprises internships in systems design for autonomous vehicles at DARPA and contributions to robotics for children with autism at NASA Goddard. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering in Robotics from Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.
