Jon Evans

Jon Evans is an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager at Formlabs, where leadership of a team of eight engineers focuses on developing hardware and firmware for advanced SLA and SLS 3D printers. In addition, Jon serves as a Lead Developer for KiCad EDA, contributing to the direction, architecture, and enhancement of this open-source EDA suite. Prior roles include Hardware Engineering Team Leader and Hardware Engineer at Olympus IMS, where responsibilities included team management and full-stack electronic design for portable XRF instruments. Jon's early experience includes positions as a Teaching Assistant and Recording Engineer at Tufts University, where foundational skills in electrical engineering were developed. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
