Kun Xue

Kun Xue is a Program Manager at Formlabs since December 2022, leading interdepartmental programs to enhance material resins and managing business development projects in materials. Previously, Kun Xue served as a Materials Scientist, focused on developing photopolymer resins for 3D printing in healthcare. At A*STAR, Kun Xue was the Group Leader for the Biomedical Hydrogels Lab, overseeing research on hydrogels for therapeutic applications and leading a team of scientists. As Lead Scientist at Vitreogel Innovations, Kun Xue contributed to the development of a hydrogel-based vitreous replacement for eye surgery. Early experience includes roles at A*STAR, where research was conducted on thermogels for ocular therapy, and at the Koch Institute, MIT, where a Ph.D. thesis on injectable supramolecular hydrogels for insulin delivery was completed. Education includes a Ph.D. in Applied Biological Sciences from MIT and a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London.
