Wayne Chia

Wayne Chia possesses extensive experience in engineering and management, with a robust background in materials science. As a Corrosion Engineer at Formosa Plastics Corporation since June 2023, Wayne leads research initiatives related to corrosion and mechanical integrity. Prior roles include Staff Engineer at Testengeer Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed daily plant operations and production efficiency, and various research positions at the University of Houston focusing on semiconductor characteristics and nanofiber technologies. Additionally, Wayne served as a Restaurant Manager at Panda Express, ensuring food safety and team leadership, and fulfilled military service as a 2nd lieutenant in the Coast Guard Administration in Taiwan. Wayne earned a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from National Cheng Kung University.
