Ian Halter

Ian Halter has a diverse work experience beginning in 2008 as a Camp Counselor for Strong Parks and Recreation. In 2011, they worked as a Contractor for CUTCO Cutlery, meeting with target customers and presenting/selling high quality cutlery. In 2013, they worked as a Delivery Assurance Co-Op for UTC Aerospace Systems, managing F35 Lightning Strike Fighter Program KPI's, running queries, and analyzing SAP data. In 2014, they worked as a Program Management Co-Op for UTC Aerospace Systems, creating an automated financial reporting process, and as a CTO - IT Engineer - EBS LDP for The Hartford, helping to build business requirements for IBM BMC tool to monitor platforms/applications' IT infrastructure. In 2015, they worked as a Data Manager for UnitedHealth Group, managing external client relationships and receipt of files, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Data Scientist and Data Science Analyst, guiding internal organizations on improving the customer experience by quantifying, analyzing, and tracking customer pain points. Currently, they are a Data Science Manager and Senior Data Scientist at ForMotiv.

Ian Halter received their GED from Wilton High School in 2010. Ian then attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management Engineering in 2015. In 2019, they obtained the Communicating Business Analytics Results certification from Coursera. In 2015, they obtained the Certified Systems Architect certification from Pegasystems and the Data Analysis with R certification from Udacity. In 2016-2017, they attended Udacity and obtained a Data Analyst Nanodegree. Ian is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics with a Concentration in Analytical Modeling at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they expect to complete in 2023.
