Ian Holmes is the Chief Media Rights and Broadcast Officer at Formula 1, a position they have held since 2025. They began their career as a Manager of Media Rights at ISL Television from 1994 to 1997, followed by similar roles at Prisma / Kirch Sport from 1997 to 2001 and Formula 1 where they currently serve as the Director of Media Rights since 2017. Ian also has extensive experience as the Head of Media Rights at FORMULA ONE MANAGEMENT, starting in 2001. They earned a BSc Hons in Geography & Sports Science from Loughborough University between 1988 and 1992 and completed their education at Mill Hill School with a Bachelor of Science 2:1 Hons. from 1983 to 1988.
