James Boyd

James Boyd is a legal professional with extensive experience in dispute resolution and complex commercial litigation. Currently serving as Chief Counsel for Dispute Resolution at Formula 1 since February 2020, James has also held roles as Lead Counsel and Senior Counsel in the same department. In addition, James serves as a Trustee and Director at The Weir Link since March 2024. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Associate at K&L Gates from September 2010 to February 2020, recognized in the Legal 500 UK 2020 for excellence in commercial disputes. Noteworthy positions included working as a Litigation Manager in a client secondment at Formula 1 and contributing to significant litigation cases during the time at K&L Gates. James holds an LPC from The University of Law and an LLB from the University of Birmingham.
