Shane O'Connor

Shane O'Connor is a highly experienced Track Systems Engineer at Formula 1 since June 2025, bringing valuable expertise from previous roles including Development Engineer and Associate Engineer focusing on High Performance Components at McLaren Applied from September 2022 to June 2025. Prior experience also includes a position as Junior Automation Engineer at Precision Automation Ltd from July 2019 to October 2022. Shane O'Connor holds a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Ulster University, completed in 2022, and is currently pursuing another Masters of Engineering in Mechatronic Engineering at Technische Hochschule Augsburg.
