Michael Marr has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Michael is currently serving as the Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer at CreoValo since September 2021. Prior to this, they held positions at Fintag as the Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer, and FINOP starting from March 2021.

In 2020, Michael founded Data Genius Private Equity AI, Analytics, Data Collection and Automation, where they served as a Founding Partner. Before that, they were the Founding CEO / CCO at Capitala Securities, LLC from June 2018 to May 2020.

From June 2008 to December 2018, Michael worked as the Director of Portfolio Management at Capitala Group. Michael began their career as a Partner at Smith Helms Mulliss Moore n/k/a McGuireWoods from May 1997 to March 1999.

Michael Marr received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School between 1978 and 1982. Michael then attended Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where they obtained a JD degree from 1983 to 1986. Following this, they pursued further education at Emory University School of Law from 1987 to 1988 and earned a Master of Laws in Taxation with a specialization in Taxation. In addition to their educational achievements, Michael Marr holds certifications including membership in the Mecklenburg County Bar and the North Carolina State Bar, as well as various certifications in finance and securities obtained from FINRA.
