Forome Association is an open science and open source initiative focused on research, community collaboration and public interest applications of health data and AI. It originated within the NIH funded Brigham Genomic Medicine Program at Harvard Medical School and evolved into an open source bioinformatics platform supporting clinical genomics and rare disease research.

Today, Forome operates as a non profit oriented research and community action, developing open source toolkits that support data provenance, rules validation and regulatory readiness for AI enabled healthcare and biomedical research. Its work addresses emerging ethical, governance and regulatory requirements, enabling transparent, auditable and trustworthy use of advanced analytics in health and research settings.
