Alex

Alex Jesmer is a seasoned professional in the field of thermal management and biotechnology. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Forsta Varme since November 2023, Alex leads a company focused on innovative thermal management solutions. Prior experience includes founding Wavesimplix Technologies Inc. in April 2023, where Alex commercialized research from McMaster University, achieving recognition such as the Clinic Demo Day People's Choice award. Alex has also held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at McMaster University, where responsibilities included team leadership, mentorship, and technical research in embedded electronics and microfluidics, and as a Project Scientist at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in nanocomposite research. Academic achievements include a PhD in Chemical Biology from McMaster University and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry & Physics from the University of Ottawa.
